Are there any teams in the West that can challenge the Warriors or the Spurs.  Can any teams in the Western Conference beat the Spurs or Warriors? by Da`Vince “Dino” Wright It`s Monday and I usually watch the WWE, but tonight is a special night for basketball fans all over the country. The Spurs are playing the Golden State Warriors in Oakland. The Warriors leads the NBA in points scored and the Spurs leads the NBA in defense. The young brash boy from the Bay Area was supposed to be tested by the NBA`s elder statesmen. The game wasn`t even close. The Warriors came out with so much energy that the Spurs couldn`t keep up. It was lopsided to say the least. Curry scored 37 points and saw limited playing time in the 4 th . In a span of 8 days the Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavs and San Antonio Spurs by 30 points. Jamal Crawford was drafted eight overall in 2000 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers after one year with the University of Michigan. Since then, he has put on seven different uniforms. He, unlike most players drafted that year, has carved a niche for himself in the NBA as a sixth man, even winning Sixth Man of the Year in the 2009-2010 season. I caught up with Crawford in Dallas as his Los Angeles Clippers team prepared to take on the Dallas Mavericks . Crawford was asked to change his role from sixth man to starter due to injuries to J.J. Redick, even before Chris Paul got hurt later in the game. He talked bout his role in the NBA and with the Clippers, his new head coach Doc Rivers , plus advice for upcoming athletes.

The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Dallas Mavericks tonight 119-112. In a winning effort, they may have lost their superstar to separated shoulder.

Not only has he been an NBA coach since 1999, won a championship in 2008, but he also played 13 years in the league. When I asked him about how the Dallas Mavericks have been able to have a winning record with yet another new roster, Doc says we should not be surprised at all.

The kick/foul led to Allen getting ejected during Monday nights game. Allen is known to be an aggressive defender but the Chan kick took it to new heights. The NBA also suspended Allen for one game.

Currently, the 6th spot is being held by the Golden State Warriors who are .500 in their last 10 games.
