NFL Draft Player Profile: Marcus Mariota of Oregon
by Derrik Klassen
Despite being a Freshman, Mariota made a name for himself in the 2012-2013 season. Now, while he is talented and flashes many valuable traits, he still needs refinement, like any young QB. Few QBs can dominate like Mariota did, let alone doing it as a Freshman. Manziel, who is criminally over-rated as an NFL prospect and shouldn't even be considered a top 10 QB, is over-shadowing Mariota and could end up making Mariota a steal come draft day.

Auburn's Nick Fairley the real winner from BCS Championship Game
The big winner from last night's BCS Championship may have been Auburn DL Nick Fairley. After an impressive performance against the high powered Oregon offense, Fairley may have solidified the #1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft. A big performance in last year's Big 12 Championship catapulted Ndamakong Suh to the #2 pick after Sam Bradford. The 2-14 Carolina Panthers have the first pick in the upcoming. They just hired San Diego defensive coordinator Ron Rivera as the new head coach. If Andrew Luck does stay at Stanford, no doubt the new coach will be looking to improve the defense.
