It is becoming that time again, college football is nearly ready to kickoff another season of wild and exciting games leading us to the national championship game in early January. Florida State is coming off a national championship season and are in the hunt again this year but who else will be in the mix? Time to fire up Omie D's Top 25 NCAA Football Rankings.

As August begins to look like September, I welcome back the Wonderful Weekly Soap Opera We call College Football. Stadiums from Coast to Coast jam packed with Screaming fans and Mascots dancing to blaring trumpets, followed by tears. Yes, tears. Tears filled with disappointment as a 100 yard kick off douses all hopes of being a National Champion. But wait… 2 Loses might still land Your favorite team in the race for the Title thanks to the Magic of The Playoffs. For the 1st year NCAA Division 1 will decide the National Champion based on a Glorious Money yielding system. Yes, Money!!! Imagine this season.. A 2 loss Texas Team enters as a Wild Card and wins their way to the Title, allowing Texas 3 Chances to add revenue in the Post season. No longer will Alabama stand as #1 all season long and become a shoe in for the National Title. It's the Year of The Wild Card! This will lead to some Stunning upsets especially from this Seasons Coaches Poll.
I am shocking the Polls this year as I rank Alabama #3 behind Auburn for one reason. As Alabama was crushed at the end of the 13-14 season so were their fans. In the past couple of Years I have noticed a power slip from the Mighty Crimson Tide and this "Slip" will test their Fans Faith. Stanford was knocked out of my Top 10 due to some "Sleepers" on their Schedule, and the Ole Ball Coach has 1 less "Clown" to focus on.
A big jump in My poll came from the University of Texas. Although their has been a coaching change talent is still in a Burnt Orange Uniform. Top of Class Wide Receivers, Running backs and key Defensive positions are filled with returning talent. The Longhorns may not make the Playoffs, but they will Knock Oklahoma down 4 spots come this October. All in All I can not wait to see what new Drama this Playoff System will bring and what "Cinderella" team will sneak into the Playoffs and Our Hearts.
