Urban Meyer is taking the coveted Ohio State head coach job. The Ohio native returns to coach a football history just as big or bigger than his past employer the University of Florida. Meyer won his first BCS Championship against the Buckeyes; now he will have to lead them to one.
You have to wonder how GatorNation feels today. The guy that lead your team to 2 titles in 3 years is back in college football. The guy responsible for Percy Harvin, Tim Tebow, and even Cam Newton before transferring is coaching. College football coaches have the luxury of knowing just how good their team will be for next 3 seasons based the recruitment class. What is more stressful? Knowing your transferred recruit is going to lead your conference foe to a Championship or knowing that without a Tim Tebow heir quarterback your chances are slim to win it all.
Meyer decided to leave Florida for medical reasons and to spend more time with the family. Instead of attending all the family functions, he decided to roll with ESPN and their hectic schedule across country. This is a great move for "The" Ohio State. They a proven winner to replace the iconic Jim Tressel, but at the expense of the Gator hopeful.
