Did Wes Welker take out Talib on purpose. Photo credit NFL  by Brad Barrett We all saw it, but didn’t see it coming. Early in the second quarter, little 5-9 180 pound receiver crushed New England’s big, physical corner. Wes Welker came off his route, lowered his shoulder, and whacked New England’s Aqib Talib. Talib injured his knee, and had to sit out the rest of Sunday’s game.

Steve Smith and Aqib Talib scuffle. Photo credit NFL  by J.T. During Monday Night Football we got to see Panthers receiver Steve Smith and Patriots corner Aqib Talib go head to head. This match-up was chippy the whole night. Smith had 4 catches for a total of 62 yards. Smith and Talib had multiple run ins during the game, seemed like they were very close to throwing hands on a few plays.
