Wilson's rookie deal is up after 2016. Photo Credit: Brad Pennner/USA Today Sports Though it was almost a forgone conclusion by fans and media that Wilson would be given a new deal, so far that has yet to be the case in this off season.  By: Michael Hanley (@Magic20099)

Wilson was brilliant against the Packers. Photo Credit: Rick Bowmer/AP   The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks were looking to get off to a positive start for this new season and they accomplished that in front of their home crowd as they, at times, overwhelmed the Green Bay Packers on their way to a 36-16 win last night to kick off the new season of the NFL.   By: Michael Hanley

by J.T. Matt Flynn starts over again, this time with the Buffalo Bills. Photo credit NFL  Matt Flynn was released this week by the Oakland Raiders. This comes as a surprise being that the Raiders traded for the Quarterback this off season with plans of him being the starting QB. It seems harsh, but don’t be sad for Matt because his pockets have been laced salute to him for that.

(JJ Watt #99) Photo credit to Occnreport.com 1. JJ Watt, Houston Texans Nobody should be this big and powerful, yet still quick and explosive. JJ Watt can beat any Offensive Lineman in the league and even throws his hands up and swats an uncountable amount of passes. There's no scheming around JJ Watt. He will dominate no matter what. 2. Von Miller, Denver Broncos Speed is the name of the game for this pass rushing technician. Miller has a wide assortment of moves that can make any opposing Lineman look like fools. While he is incredibly quick and explosive, he won't get rag-dolled around. He sports enough strength to stay up and fight to reach the QB.

Russell Wilson. Photo credit NFL  All things considered, it is hard to imagine Russell Wilson having a better season than he did in 2012. After being selected and considered a career backup by many in the NFL, he started for the Seahawks and led them to the playoffs. Now, Wilson is not sneaking up on anyone. The question is, can he excel even more in year two?

We need your fan perspective to make the call that the refs could not make unanimously. Is this a TD or not?
