Dallas Stars: Niemi Talks Historic Season Opener in Win Over Penguins

Dallas Stars defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins to open the season 3-0.

When your NHL team finishes second in scoring, yet six points away from making the postseason rational thinking says you have to make some moves at a goalie. The new additions of Patrick Sharp and Johnny Oduya are big, but tonight Antti Niemi solidified his spot as the #1 goal keeper on this roster.

Anitti Niemi is the first goalie in NHL history to get a shut-out and two assists in one game.
