The logjam at the outfield position for the Dodgers has been very much debated and noted throughout this season so far. One of those outfielders fighting for a permanent spot out in the outfield, Matt Kemp, made some waves recently with not what he directly said but what his agent, former major leaguer Dave Stewart, said to Fox Sports baseball insider Ken Rosenthal about his client’s desire to return to centerfield.

The David Price trade talks feel like they have been going on forever and with no end in sight. It is widely assumed that the Rays will trade their star ace pitcher at the trade deadline for some highly regarded prospects to put into their minor league system to grow and develop. The million dollar question of just where David Price will end up took an even more interesting turn after this new piece of news.

Chase Utley Wants To Stay Put In Philly

The Phillies continue their underwhelming season as they continue along with a 34-41 record, 6.5 games back of first place Washington in the NL East. The whispers of them putting up the white flag and trading some of their top players at the trade deadline have continued to grow louder and louder in recent weeks. Should Philadelphia decide to do so, don’t count on Chase Utley moving anywhere.

Jimmy Rollins Open To Trade if Phillies Go Rebuild Route

The Phillies have had anything but a smooth season so far. They currently sit in dead last in the National League East with a 29-37 record, a record that is fifth worst in all of major league baseball.  This underwhelming first two and a half months has triggered rumors of the organization going into a full rebuild mode at some time and point. Jimmy Rollins though, begs to differ on that notion.

The Blue Jays have been the surprise team so far in all of the major leagues. They currently sit at 32-23, first place in the AL East and just had a nine game winning streak snapped last night. Their starters as a group have  done a solid job posting a collective 3.88 ERA, firth best in the American League, but are rumored to be looking to add a veteran starter to further strengthen the rotation.

We are all expecting to hear that a trade has been completed by the Houston Rockets and an unnamed team to send Omer Asik, but talk is only speculation at this point. Asik has been rumored to request a trade ever since Dwight Howard was signed to play center. An interesting exchange between Asik and Dallas Mavericks fans last night could be foreshadowing of things to come.
