The New York Rangers avoided a sweep in the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals by hanging on for 2-1 victory over the Kings in Game 4. The Rangers set an NHL Record with their eight straight home win when facing elimination. A 5-0 record when facing elimination this postseason. Only allowing a goal in each of those games.

The Indiana Pacers did exactly what they needed to do and played desperate in Game 4. The talk today is more about the officiating than the actual play in the game. LeBron James fouls out with less than a minute to go in the game. This is only the second time he has done so in the playoffs in his career. Dewayne Wade gets a questionable traveling call and Paul George was shut down in the first half by the officiating.

Here are the highlights:

Quotes From Coach Carlisle - Pregame NBA Finals Game 4

Barea starting over Stevenson?
  - I'm not gonna confirm that. I release lineups 16 minutes before game.

Brendan Haywoods status?
  - He is going to be active

Have you guys been physical enough in this series?
  - I think we can be more physical. We've allowed them to get to the rim unscathed too much.

What do you need from your starting unit that you haven't been getting in this series?
  - I just think with our team, with the way we're structured, we bring a lot of our better guys off the bench. Right now Marion is playing too many minutes. It's very difficult to ask him to be in a stance and guard the best players on the planet for 43 minutes and hey, go score and do what you do at the other end. That's on me.

Mavs vs Blazers Game 4 Live from Portland!

Owner Mark Cuban was calm and collected before today's early tip off has he watched his superstar Dirk Nowitzki take jumpers. The truth is the Mavericks have lost 7 straight road playoff games. Today is going to be a test to live up to one of the best road game NBA records this season in the hostile Rose Garden. The focus in Portland sways between the emergence of Brandon Roy and the refs. It's hard not to focus on the refs if your a Mavs fan given their history circa 2006.

Tonight both teams will have to play hard to set the tone the rest of the way knowing there will be atleast a game 5 to play.
