It was hard to get gauge on the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys after only seeing him take three snaps in the preseason. In their third straight preseason loss to the Minnesota Vikings, Tony Romo was the bright star we all hoped to see.

The Dallas Cowboys did lose a third preseason game to the Minnesota Vikings 28-14.

Romo was 5-8 for 88-yards withh 2 touchdowns. He finished with quarterback rating of 139.6.

The second TD was the most impressive. He dodged pressure to find Lucky Whitehead for a 8-yard strike.

Darren McFadden had a much better outing than the previous game, averaging 9.2-yards per carry instead of 3.4.

Terrence Williams had the other Cowboy touchdown. Dez Bryant was held out again due to his hamstring, but indicated he will be ready for the regular season.

The Cowboys will play their last preseason game against the Houston Texans this Thursday.

As expected, the Vikings placed their starting quarterback Matt Cassel on season ending IR after he suffered fractures of several bones in his  foot this past Sunday in the game against the New Orlean Saints.

NFC North Draft Needs

NFC North Draft Needs By Team

Minnesota Vikings: Derek Carr, Quarterback from Fresno State.

The Vikings need a Quarterback, that will play consistently. Carr is the perfect choice. Though fans are hesitant about this choice, because the last quarterback they drafted was Christian Ponder in 2011 and he was a bust, Derek Carr is the player that will put this team back on track.

After being eliminated from the playoffs the Cincinnati Bengals coordinators have been getting pilled like a banana. First their OC Jay Gruden left to become the Washington Redskins HC, now DC Mike Zimmer is leaving to become the Minnesota Vikings HC.

NFL: Josh Freeman Resurfaces

The past few weeks have been a rollercoaster ride for Josh Freeman. Freeman went from being the Buccaneers starting QB to inactive then released within 2 weeks. The breakup with the Bucs seemed to be very nasty, they leaked confidential information and personal emails. Even with today's state of social media I've never seen a team go this low to black ball a player they once drafted to be their franchise QB, I know this regime wasn't the ones to draft him but still.

NFL: Ranking The 0-2 Teams

winless season. Photo credit NFL

We are in week 3 of the young NFL season and eight teams have started out 0-2. Two teams were in the playoffs just last season, while others are perennial division favorites that find themselves rebuilding or nursing some critical injuries on their roster. Then again, some of the teams are just that bad.

1. Washington Redskins - You could make the argument that their first two games was an extended preseason, since their best player RGIII has only played in two games back from surgery. The have been blown out the first half of both games, but seem to be able to put up points in the second half.

Green Bay- Aaron Rodgers makes the Pack Favorites
Over the past 4 seasons, Aaron Rodgers has led the Packers to 47 Wins against a mere 17 losses. It's built around Rodgers' execution of Mike McCarthy's scheme, whose talent covers up issues across the team. The first issue has been the offensive line. Starting a 4th Round Rookie Left Tackle & a 2012 Undrafted Free Agent at Right Tackle; many perceived issues would persist in 2013. Against a tough road opponent, protection was better than many anticipated. The concern that persists is the one dimensional offense, lacking a complementary running game despite a 2nd Round investment in Eddie Lacy.

NFL: Will London Get a NFL Stadium?

Could London get a NFL Stadium? Photo credit UK.EuroSport

Only one in NFL history has been financed devoid public funding- Met Life Stadium. The rest have been financed by the tax payer, You & Me.  State legislatures are highly polarized, and thus hesitant to offer rich owners public funds to build new monstrosities. The only viable method for ensuring a new stadium is leveraging a potential relocation.

NFL Wildcard Weekend Recap...Or something like that

Texans over Bengals 19-13

Matt Schaub gets his first post-season win, but let's be honest...the Texans don't look that good. Yes, they won the game, but I don't think the Patriots have anything to worry about.

Packers over Vikings 24-10

Am I the only sports fan that didn't want to watch the game after hearing Christian Ponder was not going to play. Watching Joe Webb throws balls in the dirt was the total opposite of watching Aaron Rodgers play. I can only imagine what Minnesota people are thinking...maybe, "How hurt was Ponder?"

Ravens over Colts 24-9

Andrew Luck will be a great quarterback in the NFL for a long time, but like most QBs he needs that loss in the playoffs on his record that drives him to seek revenge against the league. This was that lost. It was almost tearful watching Ray Lewis do his last introduction dance in front of the home crowd. Unfortuantely, I think their road ends in Denver next week.

Seahawks over Redskins 24-14

Falcon be very afraid of your bird cousin from the great northwest. The Seahawks look like the toughest team in the NFC after coming from 14 down and dominating 3 solid quarters of football. RG III looked hurt right after the his second TD throw. Makes you wonder what would have happened if Kirk Cousins came in earlier in the game. I also wonder if Russell Wilson told Griffin after the game if, "this game means nothing"

Dallas Cowboys Lose to the Minnesota Vikings; Drop to 1-4 and last in the NFC East

The Boys lose again! This time to the Brett Farve and the Minnesota Vikings. Its the same story as last week, penalties and turnovers hurt the Cowboys. Mike Jenkins was still getting called for pass interference and the offensive line was still getting penalized. We have all been giving Romo a pass because of the numbers he has put up this season. At 1 - 4 all bets are off! This pro-bowl quarterback again loses another must win game by turning over the ball. Only fitting for a player that made his introduction into the mainstream fumbling away a playoff win. This is Romo's second game in a row throwing a pick to end a late game drive. As the team was getting 4 penalties in a row you did not see Wade Phillips in anyone's face holding someone accountable. The team gets another "touchdown celebration" penalty; this time in the first quarter. After all that they, end with a desperation "miracle" play that only works in Disney movies. This is not a good team. The coach is not a good coach. The quarterback is not a good quaterback. This defense is not a good defense despite what the stats say. There are no good 1 - 4 teams.
