After being eliminated from the playoffs the Cincinnati Bengals coordinators have been getting pilled like a banana. First their OC Jay Gruden left to become the Washington Redskins HC, now DC Mike Zimmer is leaving to become the Minnesota Vikings HC.

I personally think this is a good hire for the Vikings. Living in Cincinnati, I see first hand how they all love Coach Zimmer.

Zimmer has been the DC for the Bengals the last 5 years and they have one of the best defense's in the NFL the last few years. Even with a ton of injuries this year, Zimmer was able to plug in pieces on the move and keep the Bengals dominate on that side of the ball.

The contact hasn't been made public, but I'm guessing Zimmer will get a 3 to 4 year deal. Zimmer is replacing Leslie Frazier.

I know Marvin Lewis has to be happy and sad. He lost both coordinators within a week.

Good luck to Mr. Zimmer.
