NBA: Jason Kidd unlaces his Nike's

First Grant Hill hangs up his Fila's, now Jason Kidd hangs up the Nike's. It seems like my childhood is ending right before my eyes. Dog I'm getting old but that's besides the point.

Kidd played for 19 seasons after being drafted in 1994, yeah think about it man that's a long time. Kidd played for the Mavs 2xs, Suns, New Jersey Nets and Knicks. He also was co rookie of the year with Grant Hill, an All Star 10xs, All NBA Defensive 9xs (1st or 2nd), All NBA 6xs (1st or 2nd team) and an owner of one NBA Title.

Dallas Mavericks eliminated from all playoff hopes with loss to Phoenix Suns

The Dallas Mavericks dealt themselves the playoff death blow losing to the bottom feeder of the Western Conference, the Phoenix Suns. With all due respect, the Suns would been better off losing the rest of their games to get more balls in the lottery. Combine the fact that their on the second game of a back-to-back and carrying a 10 game losing streak and anyone that ever watched a basketball game would pick the Dallas Mavericks to win.

Dallas Mavericks vs Phoenix Suns (PreGame Report)

Coach Carlisle knows how good the Suns team is despite the 12-12 record. He says, "You have to score against them. They are tough to play defensively with 3pt shooting, fastbreak, and driving; not just Nash". Four out of five starters for the Suns are averaging double digit points.
"Steve Nash is still Steve Nash, but its gonna be a tuff road to compete in the West...were just not big enough", commented Suns head coach Alvin Gentry in an exclusive interview with Royce.  The do get Robin Lopez back for this game to add some size.
The Mavs go for 14 wins of the last 15 games, yet still in second place behind the San Antonio Spurs. Dirk earns his 2nd Player-of-the-Week honors in 3 weeks, well on his way to NBA MVP favorite. If the defense can hold up rather zone or man to slow down the Suns penetration and 3pt shooting, Mavs should win.
