2013 NBA Playoffs: CP3 leads Clippers To A 2-0 Series Lead Over Memphis Grizzlies; "I Don't Think It's That Dramatic"

In Hollywood fashion, Chris Paul hits the game winner with 1.2 seconds left in the game, putting the Los Angeles Clippers up 2-0 in the series.

With Kobe Bryant at home tweeting from the couch, and Dwight Howard near the Alamo, the Clippers have the Staples Center all to themselves. What a stage for Chris Paul to turn into Cliff Paul, providing insurance for his team to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

The Memphis Grizzlies woke up. They closed the first quarter 26 all, bouncing back from a lopsided loss in game one. They figured out how to score to keep pace with the running Clippers.

Jamal Crawford hit 5-6 from the field in the second quarter to give LA the lead going into the half, 50-44.

The second half, the Grizzlies clawed there way through playing tough defense limiting their opponent to take bad, high difficulty shots. They also outscored the Clips 47-43 in the second half.

"We have always scratched and clawed and stayed after it...We missed to many free throws", says head coach Lionel Hollins.

He is right. The Grizzlies hit 23-34 from the charity stripe. Crucial misses when you lose by 2.

Zach Randolph and Blake Griffin both struggled in game one, but Griffin seemed to watch more footage after game one. He answered the bell tonight with 21 points and 8 boards. Randolph has yet to get going, maybe the knee is affecting him more than we know.

Meanwhile, Z-Bo finished with another 13 point performance and 5 fouls, sitting the last few minutes of the fourth quarter.

Jamal Crawford's 15 points was more than the Grizzlies bench had combined.

It was the point guards that put on the show tonight. Mike Conley played great. He didn't settle for playing on the perimeter, trying to get his bigs involved, instead he drove the lane and scored 28 points with 9 assists.

Conley: "They are no moral victories in the playoffs, but we say a lot of good things out there...We have to take care of business at home."

Chris Paul took the game in his hands. Tie game, 91 all with seconds left, Paul hits the game winner on a patented floater over the Grizzlies best defender Tony Allen. Paul's description, "We tried to get Mike Conley to switch on me, since Tony is their best defender...I knew I had to get a shot off and I made it."

As epic as the moment was, CP3 chose to calm the theatrics of the event. "I don't think it's that dramatic...it's basketball"

Good to see the general CP3 keeping his troops focused. Last year, as everyone had them pegged to play OKC for the Western Conference, the boys from Memphis beat them in seven games.

When asked what the mindset needs to be going to the FedEx Forum, "We have to be greedy...don't let up."
