Buffs Fall 23-13 at Baylor; Wilson Relieves Lewis in Big 12 Opener

Coach Prime's Buffs opened Big 12 play with a road loss that will fuel the QB conversation all week.

Colorado fell 23-13 at Baylor on Saturday despite outgaining the Bears 363-337. The killer: 3-of-15 on third down and 0-for-2 on fourth. Deion Sanders afterward: "You're not going to win like that."

Isaac Wilson entered in the second half and sparked a 95-yard TD drive, hitting Joseph Williams for a 17-yard score to tie it 13-13 early in the fourth. Wilson finished 12-of-25 for 156 yards and a TD. Williams caught 11 passes for 127 yards; Quanell Farrakhan Jr. had seven for 117. Julian Lewis started; Sanders framed the switch as a one-game look with evaluation still ahead.

Homecoming looms: Colorado hosts No. 11 Texas Tech on Saturday, Oct. 3, 5:30 p.m. on FOX at Folsom Field.

by Matt Silverston Say what you want about Lamar Odom, and go ahead and criticize his lifestyle and the choices he's made, but I will never hesitate to stand up for those human beings who suffer from addiction and mental illness. Given that Odom's story as well as his whereabouts are uncertain and up-in-the-air at this time, the biggest issue at stake here is so much more than money, a reality TV drama, or a basketball hoop. His future livelihood as a healthy, spirited human being is under attack and in immediate jeopardy.
