Week 7 Preview: North Crowley at Waxahachie Headlines DFW’s Biggest Friday
Friday night circle-the-calendar alert, DFW — the Dallas Morning News is calling it the game of the year in Texas.
Greg Riddle's Week 7 storylines start in District 11-6A: North Crowley (5-0, No. 19 nationally by MaxPreps) plays at Class 6A state No. 1 Waxahachie (5-0) on Friday. North Crowley's Kiante Ingram and North Texas pledge G'yrell Smith have combined for 1,019 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns; Waxahachie averages 53.4 points behind Taylen Strange (630 yards, 12 TDs) and South Carolina pledge Jerry Meyer III (1,306 yards, 16 TDs).
Also on the slate: 6-0 Lovejoy at 5-1 Argyle in a 5A shootout featuring Coleman Reaugh (811 yards) and Texas Tech pledge Julian Caldwell (14 TDs); DeSoto (3-2) at Lancaster (4-1) in a game that could decide 8-5A Division I; Arlington Bowie at Aledo in 3-6A; and Parish Episcopal at Argyle Liberty Christian in a 2024 TAPPS final rematch.
