Jazz Top Nuggets 109-97 in Boulder; Clippers Edge Warriors 104-101 in Honolulu

RF Sports Radio branded title card: NBA preseason Jazz beat Nuggets, Clippers edge Warriors

Preseason Sunday gave us two road trips worth talking about — one to Boulder, one to the islands.

Utah opened its preseason with a 109-97 win over Denver at CU's Events Center in Boulder. Lauri Markkanen scored 17 in just 14 minutes, Keyonte George added 15, Blake Hinson 14 and Jaren Jackson Jr. 11. No. 2 pick Darryn Peterson started and had three points on 1-of-5 shooting with six rebounds. Denver played without Jamal Murray; Julian Strawther led the Nuggets with 14. The teams meet again Tuesday in Salt Lake City.

In Honolulu, the Clippers edged Golden State 104-101 in front of 10,112 fans, per the Star-Advertiser. Rui Hachimura led LA with 21 points in 15 minutes on 8-of-11 shooting, including 4-of-5 from three.

More league-wide on the NBA (https://rfsportsradio.blogspot.com/search/label/NBA) as the preseason slate fills out Monday with Knicks-76ers and Lakers-Kings. Radio question — which preseason storyline actually matters?
