Deion Sanders: Colorado Has ‘One Glaring Problem’ as QB Job Stays Wide Open
Buffs fans, Coach Prime didn't name the position — he didn't have to.
After Colorado's 29-7 loss to No. 12 Texas Tech, Deion Sanders told reporters, "We got one glaring problem. … We've got to play better at one specific position." CBS Sports' Austin Nivison notes Colorado led into the third quarter before throwing interceptions on three straight drives; Isaac Wilson finished with 290 yards, one touchdown and three picks, and receiver Joseph Williams threw a fourth.
Sanders called the offense "horrible" and said "every darn day is an open competition," with Julian Lewis, Wilson and Kaneal Sweetwyne as his "three options." He declined to detail Lewis' slide, saying, "JuJu didn't play today. I'm not gonna badger the kid." The Arizona Republic has Colorado 2-3 and 0-2 in the Big 12.
