Baylor Surges to No. 7 in Big 12 Power Rankings After 55-19 Rout at Arizona State

RF Sports Radio branded title card: Baylor surges in Big 12 power rankings

Sic 'em — Waco has a seat at the Big 12 table again.

The Arizona Republic's Michelle Gardner moved Baylor from 12th to seventh in her Big 12 power rankings after the 55-19 rout at Arizona State, calling the Bears the week's biggest mover. Baylor is 4-1 and one of three teams at 2-0 in league play with BYU and Texas Tech.

Gardner notes the Bears are "a two-point conversion away from being 5-0" and one win from matching last year's victory total, crediting an offseason investment in defense. Baylor piled up 564 yards and converted 9 of 15 third downs in Tempe. The Bears still weren't in Sunday's AP Top 25 or the others-receiving-votes list.

Next for Baylor Football (https://rfsportsradio.blogspot.com/search/label/Baylor%20Football): TCU (2-3, 0-2) visits on Oct. 17. Radio question — does a win over the Frogs finally get Baylor AP votes?
