Stars Home Opener Day: Carpet Walk, Party on PNC, Blues on TNT

-

Victory Green Nation — Friday isn’t just a puck drop. It’s a full AAC takeover.

The Stars released the home-opener day sheet for Friday, Oct. 2 vs the St. Louis Blues: Victory Green Carpet Walk presented by Toyota on PNC Plaza starts around 5 p.m. (lineup from 3 p.m.), then Party on PNC Plaza with live music from Fort Worth duo Yokyo, a Stars 360 photo booth, and giveaways. Doors open 6:30 p.m.; early birds get a 2026-27 magnet schedule and LED bracelets for an enhanced pregame show — be in your seats by 7:30. Miss Texas 2026 Stephanie Wendt drops the ceremonial puck. National TV is TNT; Razor and Bogorad have the radio call on The Ticket.

That’s the Dallas Stars (https://rfsportsradio.blogspot.com/search/label/Dallas%20Stars) launching the regular season in front of a national audience after a perfect preseason. Radio question — who shows up for the carpet, and can the Stars open with a statement against a Central rival?

by Ace Feltman 2013-14 NBA Western Conference Preview. Photo credit NBA I love Holidays. I think they bring out buried feelings of joy and happiness in people that don’t often get to see the light of day anymore. Folks are happier, kids are giddier, and teens are pressing their folks for gifts, even on Mother’s and Father’s Day. But my favorite holiday of them all is Halloween. And it has absolutely nothing to do with costumes and or candy but rather the date on the calendar it represents. October 31st signifies the start of the basketball regular season! Either your team has one game under it's belt, or is preparing for game one or is glorifying a local television broadcast with fun Halloween graphics heading into and out of commercials. The 2013-2014 NBA season kicks off two days in advance of trick-or-treating with national broadcasts coming on October 29th put October in the rearview and gear up for the season ahead. Lamar Odom: Flesh and Blood

-
Image
by Matt Silverston Say what you want about Lamar Odom, and go ahead and criticize his lifestyle and the choices he's made, but I will never hesitate to stand up for those human beings who suffer from addiction and mental illness. Given that Odom's story as well as his whereabouts are uncertain and up-in-the-air at this time, the biggest issue at stake here is so much more than money, a reality TV drama, or a basketball hoop. His future livelihood as a healthy, spirited human being is under attack and in immediate jeopardy.
