Cowboys: Jerry Confirms Roster Talks as Defense Keeps Thinning
Owner/GM Jerry Jones told 105.3 The Fan the Cowboys have “conversations going on” about potential roster additions after a secondary that keeps taking hits. That comes as DallasCowboys.com’s Tuesday injury roundup laid out the damage: Jonathan Bullard is looking at three-to-five weeks with a calf, Jalen Thompson is out a minimum of four weeks and likely headed to IR with a designation to return, and Cobie Durant is unlikely to make the trip to Houston while he rehabs a hamstring.
The one bright note? Head coach Brian Schottenheimer said Shavon Revel (knee/ankle) is progressing and will be worked back into practice this week — with a shot, not a promise, for Sunday. DeMarvion Overshown has a practice opportunity after missing two; Malik Hooker may still need more time. The club has even worked out former Cowboy Juanyeh Thomas and others as Christian Parker’s defense scrapes for healthy bodies.
Next up for the Dallas Cowboys (https://rfsportsradio.blogspot.com/search/label/Dallas%20Cowboys): Sunday, Oct. 4 at the winless Houston Texans. One-and-two after Rio, zero margin for another secondary meltdown. Radio question — does Jerry actually pull the trigger before kickoff?
