Buffs QB Battle Brews After Lewis Bench; Texas Tech at Folsom

Boulder, the headset drama is official — Coach Prime just put the QB room on notice.

After Colorado’s 23-13 Big 12-opening loss at Baylor, Deion Sanders explained pulling starter Julian Lewis at halftime for Utah transfer Isaac Wilson. Lewis was 11-of-16 for 75 yards before the hook. Wilson was shaky, then settled in and sparked a long TD drive. Sanders took responsibility for the switch: “We gotta get going, we gotta score some points.”

The Buffs are 2-2, 0-1 Big 12, stuck on third-down woes and a growing penalty problem that USA Today’s Buffaloes Wire flagged again Monday. Sanders told Wilson he doesn’t have to “be the man” — just distribute. Whether that means a full-time flip or a committee remains the week’s storyline.

TEST

Texas Tech at Folsom Field this Saturday. Home crowd, Big 12 gauntlet, and an open question under center — Folsom will be loud either way.
