CONFERENCE NEWS & NOTES• Through three games, LaMontiez Ivy (JKST) is only 57 yards shy of passing for 1,000 yards on the season He’s thrown for over 300 yards in each of his last two contests including a career high 357 last weekend against Southern. Ivy also set a career high with 29 completions. Prairie View A&M’s Trey Green is ranked ninth in FCS with 801 yards passing
• Southern’s Lenard Tillery and Willie Quinn are ranked first and second respectively in scoring this season in the conference. Tillery has scored five times and Quinn has reached the endzone four times.

• Despite Grambling State winning the 2014 State Fair Classic against Prairie View A&M, the Panthers have won the last three out of four meetings. PVAMU’s three game winning streak over the Tigers was the longest streak in the series since GSU reeled off 17 straight from 1992-2008
• Running back Courtney Brown and receiver Nick Pitre of Prairie View A&M both notched a career highs with three touchdowns last Saturday at Alabama A&M
• Did you know: The longest pass from scrimmage so far this season did not come from a quarterback? Southern receiver Wille Quinn threw an 89 yard strike against Mississippi Valley State in week 2
• With 24 catches and 394 yards receiving, Jackson State’s Dan Williams is now ranked 2nd in the nation in receiving yards
• Alcorn State finished 2014 with a league leading 14 interceptions. Heading into week 4, they have yet to pick off any passes
