The bizarre tail of P. Diddy's assult on UCLA coach and interns took another turn today

In the next chapter of this wild situation, P.Diddy's company, Combs Enterprises released a statement, giving his side of the story out to the public through the Associated Press:

"The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate," Nathalie Moar, a rep for Combs Enterprises, said in a statement to The Associated Press. "What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son."

It is very hard to believe that  a man of Diddy's size and strength would have to  protect himself and his son sound pretty ridiculous to say the least. If you have ever seen him on television or through photos you can clearly see that he is man who can more than handle taking care of himself and anyone who tries to go at him.

That is classic spin by the people surrounding him, trying to put a silver lining on what is no doubt  a very embarrassing and low moment from the rap mogul. This is not just some local story out at Westwood that is getting little attention, this is a national story that only continues to get more and more coverage as the days go by.

This all over the game of football, seems so insignificant and petty in the grand scheme of things. His son is healthy, talented and good enough to make the UCLA football team yet that is not enough it seems for his father.

Parents who mettle in their children's sports aspirations this much can turn into just an annoyance that benefits no one, including his son.

Diddy has to learn that you have to let the coaches do their work with his son, no interfering will guarantee or help him in any way gain an advantage in terms of playing time, reps etc.

The only thing now coaches will think when dealing with Justin Combs is "now we must treat him with kid gloves because we know his father will comeback around making another scene once again" which ultimately will only make the environment that Justin plays and practices in more uncomfortable for himself and the whole coaching staff.

This is an unfortunate situation for all involved but one that should have never even started in the first place had Diddy stayed out of the UCLA football facilities.
