It is hard to believe that at one time the Hawks were 7-6. They now boast the second-best record in the NBA at 41-9, including their amazing 19-game win streak.

To put in perspective how important their 17-0 January record was, the NBA has decided to name Kyle Korver, Al Horford, Paul Milsap, Jeff Teague, and DeMarre Carroll were all named Player of the Month.

During their stretch last month they outscored opponents by an average of 11.9 points. All five starters averaged more than 12.3 PPG.

The question still remains if the Hawks can translate their regular season success into the postseason. With a seven game lead in the Eastern Conference, they will definitely get their chance to prove their doubters wrong.

James Harden was named Western Conference Player of the Month and Andrew Wiggins was named Rookie of the Month.
