Just a day after the Chargers’ heart-breaking loss in Denver, former Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt was hired as the Tennessee Titans’ head coach. Whisenhunt turned a sluggish Charger offensive into one of the best offenses in the league. He was considered a front runner in Detroit, but the Titans took him right out of the Lions’ hands.
Ken was the head coach in Arizona, but he just went 45-51 in six seasons. The one thing on his résumé that sticks out is the Cardinals’ magical run to the Super Bowl. They lost that game 27-23 to Pittsburgh.
Whisenhunt will have to make the decision on Jake Locker. Is he a franchise player, or should Tennessee draft a QB in this years’ draft? Many questions are still to be answered.
