Time for this week's NBA Power Rankings report. Everyone wants to know where I have the Knicks at now...

by Rodney Fisher

  1. Miami Heat - Even though they seem to be in full rest mode after ending their epic win streak, the Heatles are still in the driving seat to repeat as champions.
  2. New York Knicks - Yes, New York fans rejoice. The Knicks are currently on a 12-game win streak led by Melo's superhot shooting. Wins this past week over Miami and OKC, both on the road, prove that they are playing their best ball at the right time
  3. OKC Thunder - In a potential Western Conference preview this past Thursday against the San Antonio Spurs, the Thunder 100-88. Tony Parker could not play hurt and it was the team's 4th game in 5 nights. A win is still a win.
  4. San Antonio Spurs - They are still a formidable foe in the NBA and at the top of the Western Conference standings.
  5. Denver Nuggets - Losing Galinari against Dallas was huge. Add on the loss of Ty Lawson to injury and the Nuggets have still been able to win 4 in a row.
Maybe Next Time:
  • Brooklyn Nets - Nets bounced back after two road losses to Denver and Utah the week before. The won 2 of 3 this past week over teams they should beat, but this upcoming week will a good barometer for this team. They play Philadelphia, Boston, and Indiana.
