Denver Nuggets have quietly won 13 straight games
The Miami Heat are not
the only scorching hot team in the NBA. True nobody has won 23 straight, but the Denver Nuggets have only lost 1 game since the All-Star break. Last night they extended their consecutive win streak to 12 beating the Chicago Bulls in overtime 119-118. During this win streak that have stacked wins over the Lakers, Grizzlies, OKC, and the Clippers. All Western Conference playoff teams.
The Nuggets throughout this season have played better with only 1 day of rest, 33-9, which bodes well in a playoff series. They are also ranked 3rd in the league in points per game, 2nd in rebounds per game, and 3rd in assists per game.
If you don't like stats, then stay up late enough to watch this team play. It all starts with their point guard Ty Lawson averaging 16.8 points per game and 7 assists. Five other players average double digits in points per game. The offseason aquisition of Andre Iguodala has helped young players like Ty Lawson, Javale McGee, and Kenneth Faried grow up.
Nuggets have a big test tonight to keep the streak alive traveling to OKC to play Northwest Division leading Thunder.
Update: Denver defeated the Thunder 114-104
