Central 72 St. Augustine’s 0 DURHAM, N.C.  – Victory was achieved in O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium as the North Carolina Central University football team earned its first home triumph against the Saint Augustine’s University Falcons, with a shutout score of 72-0. The Eagles meant business after the opening kickoff to the Falcons. NCCU’s 72 points on Saturday ranks second all-time in school history since the Eagles laced them up in 1923. The school record is 85 points, scored in a shutout over Fort Jackson on Sept. 21, 1946. NCCU junior corne rback Mike Jones  broke the school record for punt return yards in a game with 145. Cal’s Jared Goff connected with Kenny Lawler three times for scores as the Tigers found themselves trailing 52-0 at halftime Johnathan Williams threw four interceptions in the first half against the Tigers, who fininshed the 2014 season at 7-4. Martez Carter scored on a 90-yard run in the fourth quarter and Nicholas Peoples added two interceptions for the Tigers. IMG Academy handles DeSoto 47-29. Eagles fall to 0-2.  DeSoto-- It was back to Eagle football again...up 15-13 with less than two minutes to go in the first half. What followed was a hard reminder of the mistakes that plagued DeSoto in their week one loss to Arlington Martin. IMG Academy, a team comprised of top talent from all over the world, scored twice in 54-seconds to end the first half. One touchdown from a fumble return on a bad snap by Londyn Craft, the other touchdown from an interception by Elvis Hines as Wallace threw an errant pass across his body while being dragged down by Malik Barrow. IMG took a 28-15 lead in halftime. IMG came out in the third quarter and never looked back as Shea Patterson and Tony Jones took over. They rattled off 28 unanswered points. Skyline Raiders get huge win over Arlington Martin 24-22.  Arlington Martin, riding the wave of beating DeSoto one week ago, could not get their offense in gear against the front seven of Skyline. The Skyline defense held Martin to only 45 yards rushing and caused four turnovers, including three lost fumbles. Martin took a 17-15 lead in the third quarter, but was unable to keep the speed of the Raiders offense contained. Junior quarterback Terreon Randolph and senior running back Da'Leon Ward led the way.
