The first full day of LDS play was here and once again the Royals stole the show with their heroics they pulled off in the 11th inning out in Anaheim. Meanwhile, the Orioles took care of business at home.

Madison Bumgardner brought his a game to the mound & Brandon Crawford brought a timely hit along tonight in Pittsburgh as well which spelled doom for the Pirates as they were blanked 8-0  at home on Wednesday night in the NL WildCard Game.

Salvador Perez came through with the base hit that completed a rollercoaster ride of a night for the Royals, who move on to face the Angels in the ALDS by defeating Oakland 9-8 in 12 inning son Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium.

Derek Jeter Writes Fairy Tale Ending to Career in Walk Off Win

Derek Jeter delivered another signature moment in his 20-year illustrious career in New York Yankee pinstripes with a walk-off single in the 9th inning last night giving the Yankees a 6-5 victory over the Baltimore Orioles which marked Jeter’s last home game at Yankee Stadium.

According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, The Mets have agreed to a three year contract extension with General Manager Sandy Alderson, locking him up for the foreseeable future for the franchise.

The journey back to the top of the AL West for the Angels was completed on Wednesday night as they beat the Mariners and got Texas to defeat Oakland to clinch the AL West title for the first time since 2009.

Jesus Montero has been a lost cause so far as a Seattle Mariner to say the least.  He has performed badly when he has been healthy and able to play on the field. He was suspended for his ties to the whole Biogenesis scandal and top it off he showed up to spring training camp forty pounds overweight. The latest tale involving him might be the most bizarre of them all.

 Alex Avila’s two out walk-off single off Shawn Kelley (2-5) in the 9th inning drove in Victor Martinez for the game winning run as the Detroit Tigers defeated the New York Yankees 3-2.

The New York Yankees ran into one of the hottest pitchers in the American League Tuesday night as Detroit Tigers starter Rick Porcello (15-8) tossed eight stellar innings while yielding just two runs on nine hits as Detroit snapped the Yankees winning streak at 5 games with a 5-2 victory.
