The Houston Texans broke their 14 game losing streak today with a 17-6 Redskins win earlier today but lost a significant part of their defense.

Their number one pick Jadeveon Clowney went down with a leg injury in the first half of the game and did not return to the game. It turns out that he suffered a torn meniscus and will require surgery on it according to multiple reports.
It is unclear how he exactly suffered the injury, but the timetable that he is expected need to recover and be 100% healthy again is in a range from 4-6 weeks. He is scheduled to have that surgery tomorrow and begin his rehabilitation.
Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien did not want to speculate of course on the potential severity of the injury to Clowney (Via CBS Sports):
He may miss some time, he may not," O'Brien said. "Who knows? We'll know better as the week goes on."
It is a very unfortunate injury to a player just getting his NFL career started but it could have been allot worse. He could have suffered a torn ACL and been out for the season. Houston will have to find a way to fill the void he leaves on their defensive line for the time being.
It will be a tall order and will require their other star defenseman, J.J. Watt to step up and pick up the slack of Clowney to an extent.
