The LA Dodgers made Kershaw the highest paid player in MLB history per yearly average. Wednesday, Kershaw signed a 7 year $215 million dollar deal. The deal averages $30.7 million a year.

Kershaw is only 25 years old so it is very likely barring injury he will have a great shot at getting another mega deal. He has an option to opt out of the deal after the 5th year. If he opts out he would be 30 years of age and only god knows how much he will command in the free market in 2019.

Last year Kershaw had a 16-9 with an 1.83 ERA and 232 strikeouts.

The Dodgers don't mind spending money. Hey, Magic or Clayton would you mind letting ya boy hold a few dollars? Y'all can use me as a tax write off I'm not to proud.

It pays to be good in baseball.
