NCCU's Gary Seizes Double-Digit Rebounds In Loss To ECUGREENVILLE, N.C. -North Carolina Central team kept the game within ten points major of the first half before falling to the Lady Pirates of East Carolina 65-28 on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at Minges Coliseum in Greenville, N.C.
Lady Eagles' junior Tiffany Gary led the squad one point shy of a double-double, scoring nine points and a season and game-high 12 rebounds, while freshmen Tisha Dixon contributed an additional nine points and pulled down four rebounds.

On the night, the Lady Eagles shot 24 percent from the field, 10-for-25 from the charity stripe, collected 33 rebounds, dished out four assists, while forcing 13 Lady Pirate turnovers.
Britny Edwards and Celeste Stewart led ECU on the night contributing 12 points apiece.  Edwards pulled down a team-high eight rebounds, while Stewart collected five rebounds and three steals.
The Lady Pirates were 39 percent from the field, shooting 27-for-69 from the field and 6-for-20 from long range.  ECU shot 5-for-7 from the free throw line, grabbed 46 rebounds, 13 steals, blocked four Lady Eagle shots and forced 27 NCCU turnovers.
On the season, the maroon and gray drops to 0-9, as ECU advances to 7-2.
