Despite the fact that his Raiders are going through another miserable season at 2-11, Raiders owner Mark Davis still has sense of humor.

During the pregame that was leading up to the 49ers/Raiders game, Davis was down on the field and had a chat with San Francisco Head coach Jim Harbaugh.

The minute this conversation and meeting took place you knew their would be questions from the media about just what the two men were talking about while looking on at their teams getting set for the game.

As usual, Davis was not bashful to share exactly what he said to Harbaugh:

"I told him, 'You stole our dysfunction!'" Davis said. "That's supposed to be our thing!"

Though he said that in a joking manner, their is actually allot of truth to that statement. If you have paid any attention at all to the recent news in the NFL, the 49ers have been making allot of it both good and bad. The front office news though has been down right awful for an organization that was just a few years ago looked upon as one of the  model franchises in all of football. Other organizations wanted to emulate the 49ers and how they went about drafting and developing players, the style of football San Francisco perfected.

Now the news continues to pile up of the internal strife between Harbaugh and the front office, earlier in the season it was players did not like to play for him etc. We have not even gotten to the end of the season and the possible changes that will be made throughout the franchise. This is the type of stuff you would think is coming out of Oakland or Jacksonville, not the 49ers.

This is reality though and it has been a painful and steady decline for the franchise as they stand at 7-6 on the season, very little chance of making the playoffs and have  amount of questions at multiple positions on the roster.

Their are no easy answers as to get this team back to the super bowl contenders as they have been the past couple of seasons. Injuries have been apart of the problem in San Francisco but the roster is not barren for talent. For whatever reason they as  a unit have not been able to come together find a rhythm or comfort with each other  at all this season. It has been fits and starts on both offense and defense.

Everyone got so use to this team being efficient and physical on both sides of the ball, making it very difficult for opponents to not only beat them on  a consistent basis but also just match-up with them personnel wise. They have regressed to a team that looks defeated and plays just through the motions now a days, no real fire or intensity out of them.

Case in point yesterday's game against the Raiders, 49ers got down early and they did not have much of any fight in them to make a comeback attempt. Oakland was able to dictate play on both sides of the ball and made San Francisco look even more inept as a whole.

There has been rumor and speculation that Harbaugh could be the next Raiders head coach next season, a move that is certainly one that makes sense for both sides.  Harbaugh and his family would like to stay in the bay area and continue to live in their current residence. The Raiders would enable him to stay right in the area, only having to go over the Bay Bridge to get to Oakland as the only difference.

He also has been rumored  to want more say in personnel on his team which from the looks of it have been stonewalled by the 49ers front office. The raiders would gladly give him some say in that regard and who knows maybe might give him even more power in addition to being the head coach.

That roster in Oakland needs  a makeover and a ton of work to mold them into a real contender for a playoff berth. If any coach likes a challenge though its Jim Harbaugh who has walked into every place he has been that was a wreck before he got there but then turned around every program into a winner and for multiple seasons.

This is all just talk right now but who knows what the future holds for Harbaugh and this 49ers organization.
