Friday night the Rams host the Saints in the Edward Jones Dome for the preseason opener. The word on the Rams is that they plan on making a big leap this upcoming season and young group have been having a good training camp. Head Coach Jeff Fisher has stated guys such as Sam Bradford, Jake Long, and Scott Wells will not be participating in the opener for precautionary reasons. But nonetheless here are a couple Rams to keep an eye on.

Another thing to note is that defensive coordinator Gregg Williams will be going up against his former team so things may get a little chippy between the two teams. The Rams and Saints play Friday night at 8pm.
Tavon Austin: Austin will certainly be a guy to watch on Friday. The Rams took a bunch of criticism last year for waiting too late to put Austin in a position to make plays for the team. In his second year, Austin says he feels more comfortable with the system and reports out of camp have been saying Austin has been getting different looks in different spots on the offense. Maybe the rams will show a trick or two they have up their sleeve for Mr. Austin tomorrow.
Kenny Britt: One of the biggest talks out of Rams camp has been Kenny Britt. Britt, who has signed a one year deal with the Rams, has not lived up to expectations since being drafted in 2009 to the Tennessee Titans. The guy who drafted him Was Jeff Fisher while he was the HC for the titans Kenny Britt had his best years under Fisher before he left the team. Now Fisher and Britt are reunited, and Britt has been drawing nothing but praise for his new team. Spectators have been saying Britt is playing with a new swagger that is elevating his fellow receivers around him. If all the talk about Britt this camp holds true, he is certainly one to watch Friday night.
Greg Robinson: the number two overall pick this year will take center stage Friday night. The Rams have been playing the left tackle from Auburn primarily at guard, but they have been switching him between tackle and guard because of other injuries to the line. Coming into the draft Robinson was claimed by many to be the best tackle in the draft, and one of the most athletic anyone has seen in years. Known for his mauling run blocking he will get a chance to showcase his improved pass blocking Friday night.
Aaron Donald: Donald, who is the second of the Rams two first round picks, is the latest new toy the rams added to their already elite defensive line. After winning every major defensive award in college, Donald comes in wanting to make a case for defensive rookie of the year award as well. Brian Schottenheimer, the team’s offensive coordinator, said Donald had his vote for defensive rookie of the year.
Michael Sam: All eyes will be on Sam Friday night. Sam, the defensive end out of Missouri, is the first football player to come out before the draft and say he was gay. After winning the SEC defensive player of the year last year Michael Sam fell to the seventh round, and the Rams took him. At times during the offseason people shared their opinions about Sam noting that they wouldn't have drafted him because they thought he would be a distraction with the media attention surrounding him. So far he has fit in well with the Rams and the team has embraced him. Though he was a seventh round pick Sam's best shot to make the team will be through special teams because the Rams are stacked on the defensive line. Look for Sam to start capitalizing on his opportunities Friday night.
