Sam Bradford looked almost flawless in his return to the field last Saturday against the Packers. He played a little over a quarter and completed 75 percent of his passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown came on a pass Lance Kendricks where Bradford threaded the needle between two safeties.
Bradford looked confident and aggressive commanding the offense last Saturday. This past offseason the Rams were getting a lot of heat for sticking by Bradford. There was a lot of chatter from the media suggesting that the Rams should move on from Bradford and draft a young QB to take his place.
But if preseason is an indication of what Bradford will look like when the season comes then the Rams will have no problem telling everyone "we told you so." Last year Bradford was on his way to his best season he had 14 touchdowns to only four interceptions until the time of his injury; at that time those stats were top 10 in the league.
Now that Bradford has fully recovered from his ACL injury he is in a position to have his best season to date. He has an offensive line that could be top 10 barring injury, a young receiving core that is ready to take the next step, and a talented backfield. Most importantly Bradford has the confidence from his coaching staff that he will lead them into contention this year.
The Rams face the Cleveland Browns Saturday August 23rd and Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has said Bradford would play more this week than he did last week so Bradford will get a chance to improve on his last week's performance.Follow me on Twitter at: @_MarshallLAW
