James Harden and Chandler Parsons are in Las Vegas getting ready to represent the USA Men's Basketball team for the World Cup. Of course, the media caught up with both to ask them about the recent back and forth between the two.

When asked about the situation Parsons had this to say.
"We talked about it and its in the past," said Parsons. We've been hanging out, talking. We played on the same team a few times here, which was cool to get back out there with him. There are no hard feelings."
On the other hand, Harden let the media know out in Vegas that his cornerstones comment that initially ruffled the feathers of Parsons was not mean in a negative way or even towards Parsons for that matter.
"There was never really any back and forth. I never said anything about Chandler," Harden said out in Vegas. "Chandler is in Dallas right now. I was just talking about my teammates. No matter what, if the Rockets are playing good, Dwight and James get the praise. If were doing bad, Dwight and James get the bulk of criticism. The media, I guess, took another story and ran with it. Chandler and me are cool. We're good."
This is a classic example of media taking a few comments from a player and overblowing it to the point of it changing the meaning of the whole context the player was trying to say. In this day and age of social media, comments now have even more opportunity to be looked at, changed and twisted to however the media wants to spin it. It makes for players having to really be attentive and careful about what they say to the media and what subjects they talk to them about in an open forum.
Seems like there are no hard feelings between the two anymore. Harden will certainly miss playing with Parsons, and same could be said for Parsons. Now that Parsons is on a rival team it will only make the game that much more intense when they play. In the meantime, both can enjoy their time together in Las Vegas.
