The NFC Title game is what we all expected, it was rough, dirty, and controversial, from reports of Seahawks fans dumping popcorn on San Francisco's linebacker NaVarro Bowman, who had just suffered a gruesome knee injury in the 4th quarter after stripping the ball from the Seahawks, only to have the refs give the ball back to Seattle, to an unknown 49ers personnel clotheslining a Seahawks special teams player when he was pushed out of bounds.

It lived up to the hype, with hard hits, turnovers, and big plays, starting with Colin Kaepernicks career-high 58 yard rush to set up a 49ers touchdown, then followed by Marshawn Lynch busting out a 40 yard TD run in full beast mode. Only to be shown up by Kaepernicks jumping laser pass to Anquan Bolden for a 26 yard TD, then capped of by Russell Wilson's 35 yard TD pass to Jermaine Kearse on a crucial 4th down play to take a 20-17 lead.

In a game where turnovers were expected, the first turnover of the game unexpectedly came only 4 seconds into the when Aldon Smith performed a defensive trifecta by strip sacking Wilson to force a fumble and then recovering it. then the turnovers stopped there. Then late in the 4th quarter Kaepernick was stripped of the ball in 49er's territory, but was saved when by his defense when Lynch fumbled the ball on a 4th and goal with Seattle recovering it back at the 15 yard line. With the 49ers getting the ball back, Kaepernick went to Boldin to get the momentum going again, only to be picked of by Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor, but San Francisco held them to a field goal.

With just over 2 minutes left in the game then 49ers got the ball back, with 2 timeouts and the 2 minute warning to their advantage, and started driving down the field to Seattle's 18 yard line, still with 2 timeouts left and 26 seconds on the clock, Kaepernick threw to Michael Crabtree in the corner of the end zone, only to be tipped by All-Pro Richard Sherman and landing in the hands of Seattle's Malcolm Smith for a game sealing interception.

After the game, Kaepernick took all the blame for the 4th quarter turnovers, but Sherman stole the post-game show by saying that Crabtree was a "sorry" and "mediocre"receiver and that's what happens when you throw his way. Crabtree fired back by saying "He's a TV guy, I'm not a TV guy, I play ball" and "He makes one play and he talks." But what are the NFL playoffs without controversy and excitement? Just a normal regular season game, but Sherman did express his feeling about the rumors of Seattle fans throwing food at Bowman, by saying "That's as low as it gets."
