Everything seemed to be going well for the Dallas Mavericks. They had a 18-point lead on the road against one of the hottest shooting teams in the NBA in the Golden State Warriors. They held the Warriors to only 16 points in the first quarter and went into halftime up 55-44.

The second half, however, belonged to the home team. They outscored the Mavs in the second half 51-38 as the "Splash Brothers", Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson woke up to bring their team back. They cut the lead to only three points with 5:36 left. Curry hits a three-pointer to tie the game all square at 82 with five minutes left.

Dirk Nowitzki hits his patented fadeaway jumper and the foul to push the lead back to three points, but the Warriors would not go quietly.

Golden State took their first lead of the night with 49.9 seconds left after Curry makes a four-point play then assists second-year player Draymond Green for a wide open three-pointer.

Curry hit 16 of his game high 33 points in the fourth quarter including his game-winner with 1.5 seconds left over Shawn Marion. "I was able to get enough space to get a shot off and it went in", says Curry.

For the Mavericks, other than Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis, coach Rick Carlisle did not get much production out of any other players in the second half. Jose Calderon led the Mavs at the half with 15 points, but only scored three points in the second half. Both Ellis and Nowitzki are above 88% free-throw shooters this season, but split their free throw attempts within the last two minutes of the game.

The Mavs have now lost two in a row on the road and return home this Saturday to take on the Milwaukee Bucks. It will be the return of O.J. Mayo to the AAC.
