Just when Knicks' fans thought the 2013-14 season could not start any worse, the Spurs come to town and blowout the team by 31 on their home court. Coach Mike Woodson called the loss "unacceptable".
Soon to be free agent Carmelo Anthony said, "We didn't compete today, and it showed out there on the court." Getting J.R. Smith back in the lineup apparently wasn't the answer. Now at 2-4 and tied for last in the Eastern Conference, just how bad are the New York Knicks?

Now with Tyson Chandler out, Melo leads the team with 9.0 rebounds per game. That's roughly a third of the teams average (38).

The Knicks average 18.5 assists per game. Raymond Felton is team leader with 5.0 per game, but that only ties him for 22nd among guards in the NBA.
Ranked 12th in OPPG
They are giving up 97.8 points per game to their opponents. Including allowing them to shoot 44.7% from the field. If the 120 points they gave up Sunday to the Spurs is any indication of things to come, this will be a long season for fans in Madison Square Garden.
