Eddie Lacy is arguably one of the best rookies in the NFL. He was drafted in the 2013 draft in the second round by the Green Bay Packers. Lacy was a star at Alabama, but many questioned his NFL career. He proved them wrong.

Minnesota Vikings: Derek Carr, Quarterback from Fresno State.

The Vikings need a Quarterback, that will play consistently. Carr is the perfect choice. Though fans are hesitant about this choice, because the last quarterback they drafted was Christian Ponder in 2011 and he was a bust, Derek Carr is the player that will put this team back on track.

The Uprising of Jordy

Jordy Nelson is a simple country boy, who grew up in Kansas and attended Kansas State University. He is a god driven man. Once saying to his teammates,"Sorry, guys, I've got to be at church by 2 o'clock." Jordy did not let his religion interfere with his football. Nelson received All-American honors and was drafted in 2008 by the Green Bay Packers.

I know some people are looking at the title of this article and they are saying who gives a flying fill in the blank of whatever you want to say there. Some people probably are laughing with me because they know I pay close attention to the whereabouts of Mr. Flynn.

NFL: The Matt Flynn Effect

Matt Flynn was released this week by the Oakland Raiders. This comes as a surprise being that the Raiders traded for the Quarterback this off season with plans of him being the starting QB. It seems harsh, but don’t be sad for Matt because his pockets have been laced salute to him for that.

Green Bay- Aaron Rodgers makes the Pack Favorites
Over the past 4 seasons, Aaron Rodgers has led the Packers to 47 Wins against a mere 17 losses. It's built around Rodgers' execution of Mike McCarthy's scheme, whose talent covers up issues across the team. The first issue has been the offensive line. Starting a 4th Round Rookie Left Tackle & a 2012 Undrafted Free Agent at Right Tackle; many perceived issues would persist in 2013. Against a tough road opponent, protection was better than many anticipated. The concern that persists is the one dimensional offense, lacking a complementary running game despite a 2nd Round investment in Eddie Lacy.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus meet with Packers General Manager Ted Thompson Monday, and the day concluded with client Sam Shields signing his Restricted Free Agent Tender. Slated to earn $ 2.023 Million in 2013, Shields is an extension candidate whose best football lies ahead. Quintessential late bloomer, the 25 year old converted from wide receiver during his Senior season at Miami. Signed as an undrafted free agent in 2010, Shields paid immediate dividends, and his development was faster than even the Packers anticipated.

NFL Weekend Recap: AFC and NFC Championship is set

After a NFL weekend for the ages, the conference championships are set for next weekend. Fans get an AFC rematch from last year and a NFC team gets another shot.

Falcons 30 Seahawks 28
The Atlanta Falcons and Matt Ryan finally exercise their playoff demons by defeating the hottest team in the NFC, the Seattle Seahawks in heart attack fashion. The jumped out to an early dominate lead over Seattle 20-0 at halftime. Russell Wilson finally got the offense going in the third quarter connecting with Golden Tate for a 29 yard touchdown. After the third quarter, the Seahawks went on a 21 point run to take the lead for the first time with only  :31 seconds left in the game. With the weight of Atlanta on his shoulders, Matt Ryan lead a 2 play scoring drive with the help of Roddy White and Tony Gonzales capped with a 49 yard field goal from Matt Bryant.

Coach Smith said in his post game comments, "Our quarterback is a special player. They call him Matty Ice, but I feel like we've got two Matty Ices. There's Matty Ice Ryan and Matty Ice Bryant."

This Falcon win was not easy, but again beating Seattle is easy at all. They played their way into the number one spot in the NFC and today they earned. This is Matt Ryan first playoff win in 4 attempts.

49ers 45 Packers 31
Reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers could not match newcomer Colin Kaepernick. The 49ers made a quarterback change after Alex Smith, the QB that took the 49ers to the NFC Championship last year, suffered a concussion. This was the game that it all made since.

"I didn't know how fast he was. Coming in I never really paid attention to it. But he is fast", says Green Bay Packer Charles Woodson.

Kaepernick rushed for 181 yards breaking a postseason NFL record for quarterbacks set twice ironically by Michael Vick when he played with the Atlanta Falcons. In his first playoff game, he ran for 2 touchdowns and threw for 2 touchdowns.

Colin Kaepernick's comments after the win, "Our receivers  our tight ends, blocked great outside, and our running backs were running hard, so it made it easier on me."

Ravens 38 Broncos 35
It took 2 overtime periods to decide a winner in a NFL battle that will be apart of two Hall of Fame career summaries, Ray Lewis and Peyton Manning. The story of this game starts with what is now being called the "Flacco Fling" as Joe Flacco hit Jacoby Jones for a 70 yard touchdown on 3rd and 30 with :31 seconds left to play.

"At that point you have to start taking shots." said Flacco. "You have to get a little lucky."

NFL Wildcard Weekend Recap...Or something like that

Texans over Bengals 19-13

Matt Schaub gets his first post-season win, but let's be honest...the Texans don't look that good. Yes, they won the game, but I don't think the Patriots have anything to worry about.

Packers over Vikings 24-10

Am I the only sports fan that didn't want to watch the game after hearing Christian Ponder was not going to play. Watching Joe Webb throws balls in the dirt was the total opposite of watching Aaron Rodgers play. I can only imagine what Minnesota people are thinking...maybe, "How hurt was Ponder?"

Ravens over Colts 24-9

Andrew Luck will be a great quarterback in the NFL for a long time, but like most QBs he needs that loss in the playoffs on his record that drives him to seek revenge against the league. This was that lost. It was almost tearful watching Ray Lewis do his last introduction dance in front of the home crowd. Unfortuantely, I think their road ends in Denver next week.

Seahawks over Redskins 24-14

Falcon be very afraid of your bird cousin from the great northwest. The Seahawks look like the toughest team in the NFC after coming from 14 down and dominating 3 solid quarters of football. RG III looked hurt right after the his second TD throw. Makes you wonder what would have happened if Kirk Cousins came in earlier in the game. I also wonder if Russell Wilson told Griffin after the game if, "this game means nothing"
