Monday night the Rams take on the 49ers in St. Louis, and this is the first meeting between the two teams this season. The Rams are looking to break their current two-game losing streak as the 49ers are trying to continue their streak after coming off of a win against the Chiefs last weekend.

The Bears, despite not being at full strength with the injuries to some key players, regrouped and bounced back from a 17-0 deficit to comeback and beat the 49ers 28-20 last night in the home opener for San Francisco.

A Cowboys/49ers Game Recap

I am writing this article midway through the third quarter where, yet again, Tony Romo has provided an inaccurate, lackluster and just downright poor performance in the regular season opener at home to San Francisco.

Considered by some to be the best defensive player in the NFL this season, San Francisco 49er's inside linebacker NaVarro Bowman was having a dream season for any defensive player, and that season ended in the worst possible way, a gruesome injury and an upsetting loss to their NFC West rival, the Seattle Seahawks.

The NFC Title game is what we all expected, it was rough, dirty, and controversial, from reports of Seahawks fans dumping popcorn on San Francisco's linebacker NaVarro Bowman, who had just suffered a gruesome knee injury in the 4th quarter after stripping the ball from the Seahawks, only to have the refs give the ball back to Seattle, to an unknown 49ers personnel clotheslining a Seahawks special teams player when he was pushed out of bounds.
Divisional Rivals Face Off in NFC Title Game

While the AFC title game is match up between old-school, gunslinging rivals, the NFC title game features new school, multi-dimensional team rivals, the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. These teams are facing off for the third time with season, with each winning at home.
Kaepernick Proves To Be Cam's Kryptonite.

Just a week after Colin Kaepernick hit Michael Crabtree 8 times for 125 yards and 2 TD's, he switches it up and finds Anquan Boldin 8 times for 136 yards and 0 TD's. Although not registering a touchdown today, he helped set up Vernon Davis for his only reception of the day, a 1 yard touchdown pass, and Kaepernick who ran for a 4 yard touchdown, which would eventually seal the deal for the San Francisco 49ers, who have now punched their ticket to the NFC Title Game winning 23-10, for a 3rd consecutive year under 3rd year coach, Jim Harbaugh, and a NFL record 15th overall appearance.

The Seattle Seahawks have a good team and a great home field crowd which leads to an amazing home field advantage.

One
of the most anticipated matches of the year happened Week 2 when the
Seahawks and 49ers linked up. This matchup highlighted two great
defenses with explosive offenses. There has been Madden 25 commercials
highlighting the teams dual threat star Quarterbacks respectively Colin
Kaepernick and Russell Wilson. I waited all day for this one game and
Breaking Bad (heck of an episode wasn’t it?) and boy was I pissed but I
realized how tough it is to play the Seahawks at home and calmed down.
Before I blew a gasket I remembered what happened to the Saints playing at CenturyLink Field in the playoffs
in the fact that no team has beat them there since 2011 and it made me
say one thing during this year’s playoffs no one wants to play them at
home, I mean no one.
NFL: Rise of the NFC West
NFC West |
I know people will state the AFC North is the best division in football, some will argue the NFC East or NFC South is the best division and everybody would be able to make valid points to back their case but I’m not here to shoot down the other divisions, I’m here to marvel at the marvelous jump the NFC West has made within a short period of time.

San Francisco: Super Bowl Losers Curse Not an Issue
GM Trent Baalke, Coach Jim Harbaugh & unheralded executive Paraag Marathe lead one of footballs most innovative & successful organizations. In a primetime rematch with perennial contender Green Bay, San Francisco was well-prepared & executed it's game plan at a postseason level. In a week 1 filled with sloppy play & mental lapses across the league; San Francisco was firing on all cylinders. The running game never established except spots in the 3rd Quarter, which forced 2nd year starter Colin Kaepernick to take the stage. Credit also goes to Anquan Boldin, who delivered one of the best performances of his career.

Alex Smith for two 2nd round picks was the deal months ago that brought the two teams together and Monday they came together to trade disappointing 1st round receivers, The 49ers send 2012 1st round pick A.J. Jenkins to the Chiefs for their 2011 1st round pick Jonathan Baldwin.

NFL: Will London Get a NFL Stadium?
Could London get a NFL Stadium? Photo credit UK.EuroSport |
by Chad Jones
Only one in NFL history has been financed devoid public funding- Met Life Stadium. The rest have been financed by the tax payer, You & Me. State legislatures are highly polarized, and thus hesitant to offer rich owners public funds to build new monstrosities. The only viable method for ensuring a new stadium is leveraging a potential relocation.
NFL: The Shrinking Middle Class
by Chad Jones
Agents, Executives & Veterans are quietly discussing the shrinking middle class in the NFL. Elite players still land lucrative deals, but $ 3-4 million per year players are endangered species.
Accumulating Talent comes from two markets- The Draft (Wholesale) & Free Agency (Retail).
General Managers have stopped looking at what position money is spent, focusing on accumulating elite players. The draft is used to supplement, where under the rookie wage scale, talent is landed on 4 year affordable contracts. At the drafts conclusion, GMs assert each selection was the highest ranked player on their board. In reality, managing a salary cap requires a deviation from this approach, albeit marginally.
