Ishikawa's Three Run Home Run Sends Giants to World Series

Travis Ishikawa hit  a game winning three run home run that sent the San Francisco Giants to the World Series with a 6-3 win over the St Louis Cardinals on Thursday night at AT&T Park.

Buster Posey drove in three runs as the Giants came from three runs down to defeat the Cardinals 6-4 to take  a commanding 3-1 lead in the NLCS.

A wild pitch by Cardinals reliever Randy Choate allowed the Giants Brandon Crawford to score and give San Francisco the walk off  5-4 win in Game 3 of the NLCS at AT&T Park.

The Cardinals once again got to Clayton Kershaw in the 7th inning of his start as Matt Adams of St. Louis hit the go ahead three run homer to send the Cardinal to their fourth consecutive NLCS appearance with a 3-2 win over the Dodgers on Tuesday night.

Adam Wainwright has been the Cardinals ace since day one of this season and he was pitching like one for most of the season. In recent times though, he has struggled and not been nearly as sharp and on top of his game as he and the Cardinals had become accustomed to.Their is one very big reason why he has been off his game.

Cards fans are excited and so is the organization, although they are cautious, about the impact Oscar Taveras will have on the club, not only this year, but for years to come. Tony La Russa will be the first to say he didn't create greatness on the diamond by himself. He always credits those around him - owners, front office staff and clubhouse personnel. That's a trait that good leaders and successful people share, by the way. But make no mistake, TLR does not suffer fools or lesser minds with grace.

The Cards are most certainly a dynasty, similar to the Braves historic run in the 90's and early in the 2000's. GM John Mozeliak has once again tweaked the roster and added Peter Bourjos, Johnny Peralta, and Mark Ellis to supplement and indeed, improve the already impressive Cards.

Adam Wainwright out for year; Elbow reconstruction needed

This is the first big injury of MLB spring training and terrible news for Cardinal fans. They will need to find another ace quick.
