After leading the last 10 laps, Jimmy Johnson wins the first race of the 2013 Nascar season at Daytona Speedway. He held off a last lap charge from Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Mark Martin. Danica Patrick, this year's pole position, finished an impressive 8th after staying in the top 10 most of the day. This is Johnson second win at Daytona.

28 fans hurt in Daytona crash on final lap of Nationwide race
It is being reported that 28 fans were injured when the front end of Kyle Larson's car went through the catch fence on the front stretch of Daytona Motor Speedway. The list of injuries range minor to severe head trauma. More details to follow...
