IMG Academy Too Much For DeSoto; Saturday Scores

IMG Academy handles DeSoto 47-29. Eagles fall to 0-2.
DeSoto-- It was back to Eagle football again...up 15-13 with less than two minutes to go in the first half. What followed was a hard reminder of the mistakes that plagued DeSoto in their week one loss to Arlington Martin.

IMG Academy, a team comprised of top talent from all over the world, scored twice in 54-seconds to end the first half. One touchdown from a fumble return on a bad snap by Londyn Craft, the other touchdown from an interception by Elvis Hines as Wallace threw an errant pass across his body while being dragged down by Malik Barrow.

IMG took a 28-15 lead in halftime.

IMG came out in the third quarter and never looked back as Shea Patterson and Tony Jones took over. They rattled off 28 unanswered points.

DeSoto scored twice in the fourth quarter against the second string of IMG to end the game 47-29.

Ole Miss recruit Shea Patterson was 7-of-12 for 180-yards and two touchdowns. Ohio State recruit Tristan Wallace struggled passing again, 14-of-24 for 112 yards and two interceptions.

An 0-2 start for DeSoto is in direct contrast to the hype surrounding this team at the start of the season. Many picked them to win the 6A state title, but new head coach Todd Peterman has yet to get his first win.

DeSoto WR Dee Anderson Ruled Ineligible for Senior Season

Dee Anderson ruled ineligible for senior season at DeSoto.
A Twitter post by LSU recruit Dee Anderson said it all...

After being released from his former team, West Mesquite, in the spring, Anderson was hoping to continue playing the game he loves at DeSoto.

Coach Peterman took the three-hour drive to Austin today in support of his new player, but the executive committee of the UIL ruled that the transfer was for sports related reasons.

Rivals.com ranks Anderson the 15th best recruit in Texas and 22nd in the nation for WRs.
