As the All-Star break has arrived, it is time that we take a look back at the first half of the season. Alot has happened since spring training broke back  in March, lets take a look at the best teams & players so far that shaped the first 81 games of this baseball season. In the latest chapter of As the D’Backs Turn, the hiring of Tony La Russa to oversee their baseball operations department has caused quite a stir within the organization. General Manager Kevin Towers was the man that everyone pointed to and thought this hiring would spell bad news in terms of his job security. To his credit though, Towers has continued to do his daily work with the team and not let this news affect how he operates within the organization.

The Arizona Diamondbacks just signed Mr. Innings eater himself. Who might that be? Bronson Arroyo. As a Reds fan I'm sad to see him go, but I knew we couldn't resign him.
