Jackson State's season and 22-match win streak came to an end after suffering a 3-0 loss to No.2 Stanford during the first round of the 2012 NCAA Volleyball Tournament on Friday.

STANFORD, Calif. - Jackson State University dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 2 ranked Stanford University in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Volleyball Tournament on Friday at the Maples Pavilion.The Lady Tigers' 22-match win streak was snapped suffering the loss to the Cardinal from set scores of 10-25, 17-25, and 10-25.
Christine Edwards and Mikayla Rolle led JSU (24-12)with five kills apiece. Jenna Siddiqui controlled the offense with 17 assists. Kameron Boggan and Angelica Kelley tallied seven digs to lead the back line.
The Cardinal (28-3) was led by Brittany Howard's nine kills. Madi Bugg added 22 assists and Karissa Gilbert chipped in 12. Jordan Burgess led Stanford's defense with eight digs.
