Donald and Beckham Jr. both had impressive rookie campaigns. Aaron Donald finished the year with nine sacks that led all rookies and was also second amongst defensive tackles in the league.
He sets a Rams rookie record with the sacks he racked up this year. Donald also had 17 tackles for loss. It was evident that Donald was one of the best interior linemen in the NFL this year.
He enjoyed major success at Pittsburgh as well where he attended college and won every major college defensive player award. It is also worth noting that he had the highest grade of a 4-3 defensive tackle on Pro Football Focus. Donald will also enjoy a trip to the Pro Bowl this year and earned five votes to be considered for the NFL All-Pro team.
Odell Beckham Jr. rose to fame fast. In only one season, he is already one of the most dynamic players in the league. He sets a Giants rookie records with 91 receptions and 1305 yards to go along with 12 touchdowns.
What makes Beckham Jr. that much more impressive is that he did his damage in only 12 games he missed time at the beginning of the season due to a hamstring injury.
His most notorious moment was the acrobatic one-handed touchdown catch he made against the Dallas Cowboys which will probably go down as the catch of the year. Beckham proved that he has superstar written all over him, and he will be a force for years to come as well as Donald.
Both players for the most part are the favorites to win the same awards given out at the end of the year from the NFL as well. The NFL will be seeing a lot of Donald and Beckham Jr.
