Amidst all of the attention with the Aaron Hernandez saga, who has also been arrested and released by his team (Patriots) the situation with Walcott has flew a little under the radar.
Hernandez is much more of a known commodity, because he has been in the league for years and is a top tier tight end as for Walcott is an undrafted rookie linebacker out of Virginia.
Just earlier today my homie said the Hernandez situation sounded like something that would happen to a Browns player and low and behold a Browns player pops up in the news.
Walcott has been charged with attempted murder after punching Derrick Jones after leaving a New Jersey night club. Jones is currently in critical condition.
Must have been a heck of a punch but all players that are blessed with this opportunity must be wiser when out and about. Walcott wasn't even drafted so he had to know this wasn't a good situation to engage into. Did he think the Browns would just keep him on the roster? Hopefully Jones doesn't die, prayers to that man and his family.
This will be a situation we will have our eyes on.
