Everett Golson put together a historic night against Syracuse at MetLife Stadium completing 25 completions in a row breaking a Notre Dame record and one short of an FBS record as the Fighting Irish outlasted the Orange 31-15.

The more things seem to change, the more some things stay the same. The Dallas Mavericks media day was again filled with more than a few new faces for the fourth straight year since winning the championship in 2011, but it was the return of familiar face that seem to light up the room. Returning to Dallas is the seven-foot Tyson Chandler, whom many say was the critical roster addition that won the franchise's first NBA title.

Alex Smith threw for  three touchdown passes, while Jamaal Charles ran for a score and caught a pass for another as Kansas City throttled New England 41-14 on Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium. Chiefs improve to 2-2 while dropping the Patriots to 2-2.

If  hindsight is 20/20, The Carolina Panthers can see clearly now.  That is clearly see the back of Steve Smith's Jersey.  Clearly management for the Panthers could be second guessing their foresight.  Steve Smith, now with the Baltimore Ravens, was a forgotten blip on many NFL fans radar as season started.

Tony Romo looked like his old self last night as he threw for three touchdowns and  DeMarco Murray ran for two scores of his own as the Cowboys thumped the Saints 38-17 at AT&T Stadium. Dallas is now 3-1 for the first under head coach Jason Garrett.
