The NBA has announced the All-Star game reserves with many new names, but also some noteable misses. The heated debate of selections has carried over to social media, television, the web, and soon to be your local barbershop. The Portland Police department even got in on the debate.

Before we get the missing players, here is a list of  those selected:
East:
Jeff Teague
Kyrie Irving
Jimmy Butler
Dwyane Wade
Chris Bosh
Paul Millsap
Al Horford
West:Chris Paul
James Harden
Klay Thompson
Russell Westbrook
Kevin Durant
LaMarcus Aldridge
Tim Duncan
The Eastern Conference leading Atlanta Hawks have three players in the All-Star game, which his fitting since the coach will be their own Mike Budenholzer. Jimmy Butler will make his first All-Star game appearence with teammate Pau Gasol, but no Derrick Rose? Instead they selected Dwyane Wade, who is injured currently. Although Wizards big-man Marcin Gortat had more fan votes than Chris Bosh he was not selected either.
In the Western Conference, we all know that named starter Kobe Bryant will have to be replaced by commissioner Adam Silver. I would like to see Kawhi Leaonard get his spot, but he was listed with the frontcourt players. Klay Thompson gets his first All-Star selection. Missing from the reserve list are Kings forward DeMarcus Cousins, Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph, and no Dallas Mavericks. No Dirk, no Rondo, no Tyson Chandler, or Chandler Parsons?Wow...
If Kawhi Leonard does not take Kobe's spot, then the Portland Police department may have their own demands based on their tweet last night:

Update: DeMarcus Cousins will replace Kobe Bryant in the All-Star game. This will be the first selection for him and the first All-Star for the Sacramento Kings since 2004.
